I have really strange, hazy yet simultaneously vivid memories with this album playing in the background. A lot of them take place in Eli’s car, sitting and staring at that Salmon and Bear overlooking the freeway, and that one night - even though it’s not Greenthink but still - Moonhead and looking out of the moon roof and it came right then and there, full circle. It struck so hard, soul ache status.
I fell asleep to Blindfold by Greenthink, slipping in and out of consciousness only to piece together certain parts - a song about phallic structures and something about it being hard to “clap good” with with hairy hands. How did I fall asleep to that? we asked. We couldn’t answer it - I suppose when exhaustion hits, it just happens.
